ADHD and Autism Coaching

Neuro Directions- ADHD and Autism Coaching Support Specialists

We believe that the transformative power of coaching, training and consultancy is most effective when backed by rigorous training and supervision, having a nuanced understanding of neurodiversity and evidenced based practice. Neuro Directions specialises in providing ADHD and Autism coaching support, along with expertise in neurodivergent conditions such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Tourette Syndrome, and Tics.

We work with adults, children, and young people across the UK, offering customized assistance to address the unique challenges associated with neurodivergent conditions. Our mission is to empower individuals to thrive, embrace life, and fulfil their aspirations. Emphasizing comfort, connection, and self-discovery, our approach enables you to unearth answers from within. Through coaching support, we have garnered a reputation for enhancing outcomes by adapting our methods to meet the specific needs of neurodivergent individuals.

Neurodiversity transcends a mere collection of symptoms; it recognises the inherent functional differences in how our brains operate. We firmly believe it encompasses a broader scope. In line with the biopsychosocial model of disability, social, economic, and political barriers also impact human functioning. It is these societal barriers, rather than neuro-differences, that disable individuals.

Collaborating closely with you, we ascertain your goals and aspirations while identifying the obstacles impeding your path. Guided by this approach, we can empower and motivate you, facilitating positive changes. We derive great satisfaction from supporting individuals of all genders, ages, and neurodivergent types as they pursue their passions and achieve both short-term and long-term goals.

Our approach encourages you to feel at ease, be connected and be inspired to find answers within yourself.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a term used to describe personal development support, requiring skilful questioning, drawing on different tools, techniques, and approaches to help people navigate their personal, educational, or professional lives. It’s a process that can support people to gain clarity and perspectives that can help them overcome any difficulties they may be experiencing. Coaching can be for individuals, groups, or organisations to achieve the positive transformations described below.

Coaching unlocks a person’s potential and improves overall well-being and life satisfaction. Combined with a non-biased and non-judgmental approach, a coach will use their skills to support you in gaining more self-awareness and help you understand certain behaviours or thought patterns that may need to change to achieve the desired results. The coachee will make the changes required, supported by the coach through regular sessions, gentle accountability, and guidance. With its focus on forward progression, unlocking potential, and achieving goals, it’s no surprise that many people call coaching life-changing. A coach will use a combination of techniques, including skilful questioning, active listening, observation, and reflecting; this ensures you are supported in unlocking barriers and making the desired progress in any area of your life.

Neuro directions coaches understand the known obstacles neurodivergent individuals commonly face; therefore, they can also offer informed, confidential, and objective advice based on their expert knowledge of what works. Although this approach is more mentoring than coaching sometimes a more instructive approach is needed because learning new skills can help in overcoming obstacles.

How it works

You will need to book a 30-minute free discovery session with a coach via the bookings page or via a coaches and mentors profile page. During the discovery call, you will get to know the coach and find out if their approach is right for you. Additionally, you and the coach will agree on the frequency and time of the coaching sessions.
